Summary

Nobody wants leaks in their buildings. However, as we’ve strived to reduce energy consumption, time-tested solutions for controlling moisture in our walls no longer perform as they did when insulation requirements were minimal or even non-existent. Construction practices have had to be reconsidered. This program will show participants how to prevent water from entering their buildings by using rainscreen wall system solutions.

• Discuss the importance of air barriers, vapor control and thermal control in the walls.
• Analyze proper rainscreen details and construction.

About Our Presenter

Jonnie Hasan, P.E. is  is the director of engineering and sales support at The Garland Company, Inc (Metal Division). He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial construction, design-build and cladding industries and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Certification. In his position as director of engineering and sales support, Jonnie has various roles, including building envelope designer, manufacturing engineer, construction manager and guiding clients to the most cost effective and efficient product application.
