SummaryIncreasingly, solar components are being incorporated into building energy strategies. As we’ve learned, new technologies always promise great benefits but often bring unintended consequences. This presentation will briefly summarize the state of solar energy in South Carolina and then focus on practical concerns related to the installation of solar systems and the building enclosure interface. BiographyMr. Streit’s goal is to provide access to viable and proven clean energy sources to commercial and government clients and to educate them on installation best practices. SolBright Renewable Energy strives to deliver revenue preservation, cost control, and energy producing solutions to MACON, REIT municipal, and private clients across the United States. Mr. Streit is the Founder and former President of the SC Solar Business Alliance. He is a former board member of the South Carolina Solar Council, and recipient of the 2010 Solar Volunteer of the Year award. He is a certified NABCEP introductory level PV installer and NC State Solar track certified. |
