Coastal Performance: Metal Roofing Design and Installation

March 24, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Summary

We will discuss the current structural testing standards, ASTM E 1592 and TAS 125, for the metal standing seam roof systems and how these standards apply to real world applications. Photos of failed roofing applications with clear evident of wind forces acting on the various roof zones.

Once the standing seam roof system is structural sound, the system must remain water tight for low slope applications and high wind conditions. We will review the submersion product testing, ASTM E 2140 and TAS 114 as well as the dynamic wind driven rain testing, AAMA 501 for standing seam roof system and wall panel application.
