Summary

The window industry has one of the toughest jobs in building performance—it has to build products that withstand all of the forces of sun, wind, rain, hurricanes and three-year-olds while remaining essentially invisible. Manufacturers are also expected to achieve all of these architectural performance imperatives with products that last decades. Over time our industry has come to expect even greater performance delivery from our fenestration systems—adding increased safety during fire and withstanding greater impact and blast resistance during a disaster (whether natural or man-made).

Innovations continue—from composite framing systems and new glazing materials, through new performance ratings and certifications. How does one integrate these important building envelope systems with lighting, HVAC and other building elements?

Please join us for this special presentation, which is offered in conjunction with the 2013 CSI Products Fair. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. Continuing education credit available. More information coming soon! Visit www.bec-charleston.org.
