Building Testing and Commissioning

The Charleston Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute and the Building Enclosure Council invite you to join us for a special presentation from Architectural Testing Inc. of York, Pennsylvania. Larry Livermore & John Runkle, PE from this eminent nationally recognized testing facility will discuss the value and methodology of building material testing, laboratory mockup testing and on-site performance testing.

The presentation will focus on the Building Envelope Commissioning process and associated benefits in achieving a high performance building envelope. The presentation is enhanced with several video demonstrations of actual building performance testing in both the laboratory and the field. Through an examination of code requirements, energy mandates and building science, participants will understand how detailing, specifications, and performance testing are related, ensuring the building will perform as required.

Case studies, will demonstrate successes and failures in building design. This presentation will provide a comprehensive understanding of the full menu of building envelope laboratory and field testing and recommendations on integration of these test into a building envelope commissioning process.
