Roofing System Failures: On the Edge of Disaster
August 25, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeSummary
Properly designed and installed roofing systems should have a reasonable expectation of service. Many times, systems are inadequately designed or installed which can lead to partial or complete failure due to wind damage (blow-off) well before the intended performance period has been realized. The majority of blow offs are the direct result of inadequate perimeter attachment.
Learning Objectives
- Why is proper edge metal securement necessary?
- What is ANSI/SPRI ES-1 and how has it evolved?
- What is required to comply with the Building Code?
